Depending on your symptoms, initial assessments will begin with examining your abdominal muscles, pelvis, and lumbar spine. Internal examinations may also be required to assess the tone, strength and control of your pelvic floor muscles identifying any injury, scarring, prolapse, tenderness and sensitivity.

Restore Pain-Free Movement and Function of the Joint and Muscle Systems

Our Osteopath will work with you to restore pain-free movement and function of the joint and muscle systems. Treatment may include joint and soft tissue mobilisation techniques, acupuncture, bespoke rehabilitation programs, and postural and movement corrections.

Post-Pregnancy Osteopathy

After you’ve given birth, there will most likely be a degree of weakening of your pelvic floor muscles. Focusing on post-natal concerns, our Post-Pregnancy MOT includes a thorough exam of your pelvic floor, pelvis, sacroiliac joint & lumbar spine, abdominals & scar tissue.

Menopausal Assessment

A common issue post menopause is Vaginal Atrophy, which is a thinning, drying and inflammation of the vaginal walls due to a reduction of estrogen. Our Osteopath can provide pelvic floor physical therapy and practical solutions for you to apply at home. Improving your overall quality of life.
