Physiotherapist Joy Tesan brings a wealth of international experience and a friendly approach to the Nordic Balance team. Originally from Canada, Joy completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology before moving to London to earn her Masters in Physiotherapy. Since then, she has significantly expanded her expertise, becoming certified in acupuncture, shockwave therapy, and is also APPI Pilates trained.
Joy is a versatile physiotherapist who enjoys treating a wide variety of conditions and clients. Her extensive experience means she is well-equipped to help with everything from general aches and pains to more acute injuries. She has a particular passion for working with the running community and hybrid athletes, understanding the unique demands of these disciplines. Her experience also extends to sport-specific rehabilitation, having worked with a local rugby club on return-to-play strategies. Her treatments are tailored to the individual, combining services like shockwave therapy, dry needling and manual therapy with personalised exercise plans.
