Meet Chiropractor Joe Abbott. After growing up in Devon, Joe graduated with a distinction in his Master’s from the Welsh Institue of Chiropractic. Since then, he has worked in clinics and high-level sports clubs across the southwest and London.
Trained to diagnose, treat, and prevent disorders of the musculoskeletal system, Joe takes his client’s entire physical, emotional and social well-being into account when making an assessment.
Using a combination of hands-on manipulation of the spine, medical acupuncture, manual stretching and massage, Joe works to treat injuries, reduce pain, improve function and increase mobility.
As well as manual treatment, Joe offers a package of care which includes advice on self-help, therapeutic exercises and lifestyle change advice.
Joe first discovered the power of Chiropractic after a sports injury, and he’s passionate about helping others recover from their pain in the same way. He offers various treatment techniques, including spinal manipulation, soft tissue, rehabilitation techniques, and medical acupuncture.
Joe will always try to educate you about your pain or injury and meet you where you are during your recovery. Joe still has a strong interest in sports injuries and playing sports himself. While playing cricket, Joe is training with his dog for 2 Ultra-marathons this year.
As a keen sportsman, Joe has experienced first-hand the benefits of chiropractic treatment following various sporting injuries while growing up. The level of care he experienced was brilliant, and it has always been his dream to show other people how Chiropractic can help them.
Joe’s aim as a chiropractor is to equip people with the tools and treatment they need to achieve their goals independently. He works with Cricket players and rugby players frequently, so sports injuries and exercise-related problems are his ‘cup of tea!
